Spherical Roller Bearings
Spherical roller bearing consists of an outer ring with spherical raceway, a double inner ring, one or two cages and a group of spherical rollers. Since the center of the outer ring is consistent with the center of the bearing, it has the self-aligning performance, and can automatically adjust the tilt or shaft deflection caused by the angle error between the shaft and the housing. It can withstand large radial load and certain bidirectional axial load, and is especially suitable for the conditions of heavy load or vibration.
Spherical roller bearings have cylindrical bore and tapered bore. Tapered bore bearings are marked with the symbol “K” (taper 1:12) or “K30” (taper 1:30) after the basic model. TWB spherical roller bearings have C type, CA type, MB type and other structures, which are suitable for different conditions.
Structure Design of Spherical Roller Bearings
Type C
There is no rib on both sides of the inner ring of the C-type bearing. There are two stamped steel cages and a movable retainer ring between two rows of spherical rollers. Type C is the second-generation design, which is characterized by the use of stamped steel cage and reinforced symmetrical roller. After optimization design, it has higher rating load than conventional products, wider application range and longer service life. When the bearing bears axial load, it can adjust the load and speed of two rows of rollers to make it distribute evenly, avoiding stress concentration and bearing by single row of rollers.
Type CA
The inner ring of CA type bearing has rib on both sides, a retainer and two rows of spherical rollers. Type CA is another structure designed as the second generation. It is characterized using precision machined brass cages and reinforced symmetrical rollers. The rating load is the same as that of type C design, and it can be used universally with type C design, especially for large size models. When the bearing bears axial load, it can adjust the load and speed of two rows of rollers to make it distribute evenly, avoiding stress concentration and bearing by single row of rollers.
Type MB
MB type is spherical roller bearing with fixed rib, with ribs on both sides of inner ring, a fixed middle rib in the middle, and two cages. The roller is spherical symmetric one. When the bearing is running, the fixed middle rib cannot move axially, but it guides the roller well. When bearing bears axial load, it cannot adjust the load on two rows of rollers, and it is easy for single row of rollers to bear force or produce stress concentration.
2RS Sealed Bearings
Both sides of the bearing are equipped with contact seals, which are made of oil resistant and wear-resistant rubber with steel skeleton. At present, TWB provides two kinds of rubber seals: nitrile -butadiene rubber (NBR) and fluororubber (FPM). Fluororubber will emit toxic gas at high temperature of 300 ℃, so you should be careful when selecting this material. Never clean or heat the sealing bearing more than 80 ℃ before installation. When replenishing the lubricating grease for the sealed bearing, it is necessary to slowly inject the lubricating grease into the lubricating hole of the outer ring, and rotate the bearing at the same time, so that the new lubricating grease can be evenly distributed in the bearing. In addition, excessive pressure shall be avoided to avoid damaging the seals.
